KTR rides an autorickshaw to the Assembly to address the issues encountered by three wheeler drivers
K. T. Rama Rao, working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), arrived at the Telangana State Assembly in an autorickshaw to emphasise the challenges that autorickshaw drivers experience as a result of the Congress government's implementation of the free bus travel policy. Other BRS MLAs and MLCs arrived at the Assembly and Council in three-wheelers, wearing khaki shirts to show support with autorickshaw drivers.
The main opposition party's legislators rallied from MLA Quarters to the Legislature complex. They were holding placards and shouting slogans, attracting the attention of the government. They requested that the Congress administration fulfil the commitments given to the autorickshaw drivers. Speaking to reporters, Rama Rao stated that during the elections, the Congress party made various promises to 8 lakh auto drivers, but none of them were kept.
